Our Story
As a scientist specializing in clinical studies on supplements, Denny had long known that turmeric could help ease his chronic shoulder pain. Yet, he hesitated, uncertain about the quality of turmeric available on the market. In 2019, he discovered that Hawai'i’s tropical climate, abundant rainfall, and consistent sunshine created the perfect conditions for turmeric to thrive; it produced a variety of turmeric vibrant in color and rich in flavor and nutrients.
While Hawai'i’s turmeric was unmatched in quality, the process of turning it into supplements proved to be a significant hurdle due to the high costs. That’s when Denny met Kevin Flanagan, an expert in regenerative farming. Over the next five years, through innovation, hard work, and the support of the local community, they developed a farm-to-table process that created the purest, most potent supplements from turmeric and other medicinal plants grown in Hawai’i.
They named their venture Good Mana, inspired by the Hawaiian word Mana, meaning energy or spirit. Their story embodies that very spirit—determination, connection, and a deep commitment to sharing the natural goodness of Hawai’i with the world.
Our Founders
Denny Kwock is the co-founder and CEO of Good Mana. He has spent over 20 years dedicated to advancing the natural products industry. As the CEO of Daily Wellness Company, Denny led initiatives that drove both growth and groundbreaking research, collaborating with top institutions like Stanford, Wake Forest, and Yale to validate the efficacy of nutraceutical products. With a background in biomedical research and product formulation, Denny is driven by a mission to bring the purest, most potent natural supplements to the world.
Kevin Flanagan is the co-founder and president of Good Mana. He brings deep expertise in regenerative farming, honed through years of working with turmeric, moringa, and other crops in Hawai’i. With a passion for sustainable agriculture, Kevin integrates his knowledge of agritech, natural resource management, and renewable energy to cultivate crops in harmony with the environment. His innovative approach ensures that each harvest nurtures the land while delivering the highest quality ingredients.
